Description
A scenic drive to a quaint little village hidden in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann will reveal the place where the legendary ?King of Reggae? was born. Fans of reggae and Bob Marley travel here to the world-renowned musician’s birth and burial place in the small town of Nine Miles.
On arrival, you will experience the local flavas that inspired Bob Marley to write lyrics for songs such as ?One Love? and ?Three Little Birds?
Guests receive a tour of Marley’s childhood home, a two-room cottage, packed with family keepsakes, as well as the adjacent mausoleum of Bob and his half-brother. Stand on “Mount Zion Rock” where Bob used to meditate and rest his head on “the pillow” made famous in the song “Talking Blues”. There is an on-site vegetarian restaurant and a small gift shop selling Marley memorabilia.
